![]() In Multiplayer, Queen Bee will despawn upon the death of players just like any other boss, and will not follow them all the way back to the spawn.Bees do not drop Souls of Light, Souls of Night, Biome Keys (Desktop, Console and Mobile versions), or Biome Key Molds (Old-gen console and 3DS versions).Queen Bee will only actively target players, however. When at least one Bee exists, the Queen Bee will also be able to damage and take damage from other enemies. On the Desktop version, Console version, and Mobile version, Bees spawned from Queen Bee itself or Bee Hives and mining Hive blocks will actively target other enemies, damaging and being damaged by them.It is also possible early in the game if the player is using a whip, which can break things behind solid blocks. This is especially common if there are remaining larvae within the Jungle late into the game when it is possible to hit anything anywhere on the screen, even behind solid blocks. The Larva can be broken by any damaging weapon, similar to a Pot, so many actions such as the Orichalcum armor's set bonus or a Star Cloak can break the Larva, causing Queen Bee to be unintentionally spawned. The only way to properly despawn the boss outside of killing it is for all players in the world to die at once.In multiplayer, if all players currently fighting Queen Bee die at the same time and any other players are alive at the time, the Queen Bee will pursue the other players even if they are hundreds or thousands of blocks away and will only swap aggro to a different player on the death of her current target. This means if a player were to use a Magic Mirror or any of its variants, the Queen Bee will chase them back to their spawn point no matter the distance and depending on the spawn point location, she will most likely enrage and very likely kill the player. ![]() Different from most other bosses, Queen Bee does not despawn when far away from the player and will move towards the player instead. However, this enraged state is less aggressive than if the player were to fight her in any other surface biome, such as the Forest or Ocean. When fought on the Surface Jungle, Queen Bee will still enter an enraged state with faster and more aggressive attacks. (Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) When fought outside of the Underground Jungle, Queen Bee enrages, causing her movements to become more aggressive and firing stingers at a much faster rate. Additionally, she will inflict the Poisoned debuff upon direct contact with the player for 2–8 seconds ( 2.5–10 seconds). The Queen Bee's defense also increases up to a maximum of 28 depending on how much of her health has been depleted. At low enough health, Queen Bee can perform up to six charges in a row before switching to a different attack. In Expert Mode (Desktop, Console and Mobile versions), the speed of these attacks increases as the Queen Bee's health lowers and her charges increase both in speed and number. The Queen Bee will alternate between hovering above the player and positioning herself to swoop in at the player from above during this attack. Similar to Hornets, Queen Bee rapidly fires poisonous yellow stingers at the player, which visibly pulsate to indicate their location. ![]() During this time, the variables for how many bees she summons could be 6, 12, or 18. ![]() Queen Bee will spawn Bees while hovering (which will include larger ones in Expert mode), which pursue and attack the player.Upon being summoned, she will always use this attack first. Queen Bee levels herself horizontally with the player before flying back and forth three times in an attempt to ram the player.Queen Bee has three distinct attack patterns: ![]()
